A woman has alleged that the bouncers of a club in the South Extension Part-1 area in Delhi had torn her clothes and misbehaved with her over arguments about entry into the club.
According to police, the incident took place at Da Code club on September 18 at around 2:14 am, when they got a call from the victim.
Police reached the spot and found that the woman’s clothes were messed up and disordered, and on enquiry, she alleged that her clothes were torn by two bouncers and the manager of the club, the police added.
She further alleged that they misbehaved with her and hit her, and had also touched her inappropriately. The accused persons’ identities were established and the victim was taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre for treatment, police said.
The complainant was examined in the case, who informed that she had come to the club along with her friends for a party, where they had arguments over entry and the bouncers became aggressive and had beaten her and her friends.
A case under relevant sections was registered and an investigation was undertaken. During the course of the investigation of the case, the CCTV footage at the club and other neighbouring showrooms was checked. The woman’s statement was recorded before the magistrate at Saket court, police said.
When the police officials tried to enter the club, the bouncers tried to stop them. Thereafter, seven people were detained and action was taken against them.
