GAT-B 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET 2023) online application window today, April 8, 2023. The correction window will be open up to 11:50 PM on April 9, 2023.
The exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode and the medium of question paper will be English. The GAT-B and GAT-BET exam will be conducted for a duration for 3 hours each in separate shifts. The first shift will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM, will be for GAT-B candidates while second shift will be for applicants who registered for GAT-BET will have to appear in the second shift, which will begin from 3 PM and conclude at 6 PM.

GAT-B exam eligibility 2023
For MTech programmes, candidates are required to have a BTech or BE degree with a minimum of 60% (general, EWS and OBC category) or 55% (SC,ST and PwD) aggregate.
Only those candidates are eligible for admission to MSc programmes, who have completed their graduation in the respective field with a minimum of 60% (general, EWS and OBC category) or 55% (SC,ST and PwD) aggregate from a recognized university.
For the GAT-B 2023 eligibility criteria of M.VSc Animal Biotechnology programme, candidates must have a B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST) are required to have 50% marks.
GAT-B and GAT-BET is held for admission to department of biotechnology supported postgraduate (PG) programme in Biotechnology and allied areas in participating Institutions (GAT-B) and for award of DBT – Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology (BET).
