The Indian Air Force has opened its gate for youngsters to join the prestigious Indian Armed Force as Agniveers. The process of recruitment of Agniveers in IAF has begun under the Agnipath Scheme. Surprisingly more than 183634 candidates have applied online to become Vayuveers so far.
After the Indian Air Force, the recruitments for Indian Army and Indian Navy as Agniveer are going to begin from July 1, 2022. Let’s know about the important dates and the process to apply in detail.

Brief On Agnipath Scheme In IAF
Under the new Agnipath policy, Agniveers are to be selected for a period of 4 years. It is to attract the best talent available in the country to serve the Indian Air Force with pride. As per the official notification, “the scheme envisages enrolment of ITI students, National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) candidates as well as NCC cadets ensuring that the Agniveers have a better starting point and thus, more compatible to the technology intensive needs of the Indian Air Force. These Agniveers would be exposed to an improved tailor made training curriculum which will enable them to transit quickly and effectively into the Air Force environment.”

Candidates who will be recruited under the scheme will be given a separate rank of Agniveer Vayu. They will also get an opportunity to serve permanently in the Indian Air Force after the completion of initial tenure of 4 years. - Register yourself by entering your e-mail id, password.
- Fill in the registration form and generate the login credentials.
- Then go back to the home page and click again on log in.
- Fill in the essential details, upload the documents, photographs then submit the form.
- Now you are advised to download the confirmation page and take its printout for future reference.
Agniveer Vayu Medical Fitness
Here we are listing the essentials to qualify the medical fitness examination.
- The minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms
- Minimum range of chest expansion should be 5 cm.
- Weight should be proportionate to height and age.
- Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable. Visual requirements as applicable as per Indian Air Force standards.
- About hearing capacity then Candidates should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
- Candidates should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
- Candidates should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments.
- Candidates shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
