UP Assembly Election results 2022: Former minister in the Yogi Adityanath government Swami Prasad Maurya, who switched over to the Samajwadi party before the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, is currently trailing from the Fazilnagar seat.
Maurya is losing against his BJP rival Surendra Kumar Kushwaha by over 21,000 votes.
According to the Election Commission, Swami Prasad Maurya has so far got 18,774 votes, while Surendra Kumar Kushwaha has bagged 39,849 votes, around 53 per cent of the total votes.
The final assembly election 2022 results for the Fazilnagar Vidhan sabha seat, which falls under the Kushinagar district, are currently awaited.
