This comes as a demoralizing blow to a Wizards team that has struggled since getting out to a hot start earlier in the season as it now sits outside of the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament.
Here is everything we know about the injury.
What is Bradley Beal’s injury?
In the Wizards’ loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, Beal went down with a wrist injury after trying to take a charge on Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. He came up holding his left wrist but elected to stay in and finish the game.
He was initially diagnosed with a sprained left wrist, but per Charania, his surgery is to repair a torn scapholunate ligament in his wrist.
