Ophthalmologist
A physician (medical doctor) with a focus on the surgical and medical treatment of the eye and vision system is known as an ophthalmologist. Ophthalmologists provide full-service eye treatment. These consist of: vision services; medical and surgical eye care; eye diagnosis and treatment; plastic surgery; and eye services.
Optometrist
An optometrist performs eye examinations and tests on their patients to assess their eye health and diagnose visual conditions. They also determine whether or not their patients require glasses or contact lenses, take medical histories, and prescribe medications as needed. Furthermore, patients with complicated eye conditions may be referred to other optical specialists.
Optician
An optician may sell or service eyeglasses. Dispensing opticians sell eyeglasses and assist patients in selecting the appropriate frames or contacts. Manufacturing opticians, on the other hand, make and repair eyeglasses and ensure that lenses fit into specific frames.
Certified Ophthalmic Technician
A certified ophthalmic technician performs clinical tasks. They prepare patients for visits with attending physicians by taking medical histories and administering various tests.

Retinal Angiographer
A retinal angiographer assists ophthalmologists with clinical tasks such as eye exams and medication administration. Patients are also taught how to use corrective lenses.
Optometry Assistant
After earning a bachelor of optometry, you will work as an optometry assistant, assisting optometrists and eye care professionals in the treatment of patients. This could include assisting them with eye exams, fitting contact lenses and glasses, and even assisting with surgery if necessary.
