DC batter David Warner was seen sharing a light training session with his daughter, Ivy Warner, ahead of his side’s key fixture against LSG in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, on April 12. Warner was seen overviewing his daughter’s cricket skills at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow, which has garnered some heartfelt responses on social media about the bond between the father-daughter duo. DC have had a dismal start in IPL 2024, which has even reflected on Warner’s batting performance as an opener for the side.
Taking to their social media handle, DC uploaded a video of Warner sharing a light-jogging session with Indi, followed by some bowling and fielding drills. Warner has always been open about his relationship with his family through his social media activities, and this video only stretches his fans’ appreciation for it. The batter has a massive fanbase in India, which reflects his reputation as one of the highest performing batters in the history of IPL.
Warner himself responded to the post by DC via a comment where he reflected on Ivy’s eagerness to learn.
Warner is the only overseas batter amongst the top-five leading run scorers in the history of IPL, standing third with his 6555 runs in 181 matches. The Australia batter has been one of the leading figures for both DC and SRH during his time with the franchises. With Hyderabad, Warner won the IPL 2016 trophy as captain. The 37-year-old is also the joint-record holder for having the most fifty plus scores in IPL, alongside Chris Gayle.

However, DC performance in IPL 2024 has been disappointing from the very start, which has seen the side win only 1 out of their five matches in the competition so far. Individually, Warner has only managed 158 runs so far, with his highest score of 52 off 35 coming in DC’s solitary win against CSK on March 31.
Warner and DC will next be in action against LSG at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow on April 12, Friday.
