JEE Mains 2022: Exam Pattern

This year, a lot of changes have been introduced, apart from the number of attempts. The JEE Mains 2022 will be conducted in two sections- Section A and B. Section A will have 20 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Section B will include 10 questions centred on deriving numerical values. The B.Arch Part 1 Paper will be divided into two parts as well. Questions based on mathematics will be included in sections A and B. Part 2 will consist of a drawing test, and Part 3 will consist of a skill test.

This year, however, there will be negative marking for every question, including those in Section B. Negative marking was not done for numerical value-based questions till last year. Candidates will receive four (4) marks for each correct answer and one (1) mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
