I no longer have the PC Office was activated on and Office with the said licence is no longer used on any PC. Can I remove the licence from my Microsoft account, someone did suggest Go to your Microsoft Account online and look for licence management, I can’t find anything.
I have found help on how to transfer to another PC, suggesting I uninstall it, sadly I never uninstalled it. Is that licence now lost or can I remove it from the PC and Microsoft account and re use it on my new PC, as though transferring it.

We can help. I also installed office and ended up with the error you have no office products with this account. It then won’t allow me to complete install and closes office. Yet I am sure I do, I am wondering if it means you have no products on this PC connected to your account.
At one time, I recall re installing Office on the same PC with a fresh install of Windows 10 and I had no problems with Office install activation on my Microsoft Account. You need to use the email address and password for the Microsoft Account that you used when you first setup your Office You can download your Office from your Office Account. BUT you will need to contact Microsoft to ‘deactivate’ your Office on your old PC because Microsoft Servers will still think your Office is still on your old computer. I have found out my office associated with my hotmail, seems to have been removed from my account. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.

As Dave said you have to Log in to the MyAccount site. Find the current installation and click on “deactivate”. This frees you up to “transfer” the installation to another computer. It also shows a few other things you can do in the MyAccount site. Essentially it is a 3 step process which can all be done from the new computer. The first step is to log in to the MyAccount site on the new computer.
When in that mode, you can open files and print them, but you cannot save any changes to the files. In other words, you cannot edit the files The third step is to install on the new computer.
