Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi released eight cheetahs into a special enclosure in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park on Saturday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a swipe at PM Modi, citing the nation’s unemployment and price hike issues.
“It’s absurd that the nation is battling unemployment and price hikes, but the PM is busy releasing cheetahs in the wild,” he said.

“You imagine the PM should be spending his time solving the country’s problems but he is busy photographing cheetahs,” he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a safari hat, vest, and sunglasses, released a pack of cheetahs into a special enclosure in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park on Saturday. The prime minister also showcased his love for photography as he captured a few shots of the big cats in the national park.
“I don’t have a problem with cheetahs, they have done nothing wrong. And I am happy that cheetahs are being reintroduced, but the PM should also pay attention to millions of jobless youth,” he added.
Eight cheetahs arrived in India from Namibia by a special flight on Saturday morning. Three of them were released by PM Modi in the KNP and the rest five by other leaders under the ambitious reintroduction project. The cheetah went extinct in India seven decades ago.
“The idea of the Bharat Jodo yatra is to help workers in the unorganised sector,” he said.
Bharat Jodo Yatra is going on in full swing with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his yatris completing 201km –of the pre-decided 3,500 kilometres of the journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari— in 10 days.
