As many as seven people were killed after an ambulance collided with a canter in the Fatehganj thana area of UP’s Bareilly on Tuesday.

The ambulance from Ramamurthy hospital was coming from Delhi to Bareilly and the accident took place near Sankha Bridge on the national highway, a police official at the Fatehganj West Zone police station said.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the loss of lives via the CM office’s Twitter handle.

The CM office wrote, “#UPCM @myogiadityanath has expressed deep grief over the loss of life in a road accident in Bareilly district. Praying for peace to the departed souls, the chief minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.”
